One of the most celebrated Oktoberfest events in Colorado returns with a three-day celebration in historic downtown Breckenridge, Sept. 23 – 25, 2022.
The 26th annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest mixes time-honored Oktoberfest traditions with collectible steins and local flavors from Breckenridge Brewery, this year’s premiere beer sponsor.
“We are pleased to bring our iconic Oktoberfest back to Main Street this fall,” said Lucy Kay, Breckenridge Tourism Office CEO. “We are especially excited that we can do this in partnership with Todd Thibault and the team at Breckenridge Brewery as our presenting sponsor. This has always been a much-anticipated event for many residents and visitors alike, and after a two-year hiatus from Main Street, this year’s event will be even more so.”
Throughout the weekend, attendees can sample, sip and savor several styles of Breckenridge Brewery beers, including their signature Oktoberfest, while soaking up breathtaking views of the Ten Mile Range. In addition to Breckenridge Brewery brews, guests can enjoy a selection of wines and cocktails, along with traditional German food and classic festival fare.
“Back in the early days, we used to simply roll kegs down Main Street from the brewery to the fest. It was a humble beginning, for all of us,” said Todd Thibault, Breckenridge Brewery’s Culture Czar, who’s been involved in Breckenridge’s Oktoberfest since 2000. “With full steins and mountain town smiles, we’re proud to be the official beer sponsor of the Breckenridge Oktoberfest. Prost!”
Attendees are encouraged to break out their lederhosen and best Bavarian attire for Breckenridge Oktoberfest’s triumphant return to historic Main Street. After being canceled in 2020 and offering a modified, scaled-down event on the Riverwalk Center lawn in 2021, the 26th annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest will once again be held on Main Street, returning to a full-blown Munich-style street party with live music, food vendors and plenty of ‘Prost!’.
