Holiday memories are built on traditions, and with more than 100 years of tradition set against the backdrop of the picturesque Rocky Mountains, The Broadmoor promises a magical experience this year with the return of joyful celebrations and events.
The season begins with a twinkling kick-off as the resort sparkles in a million of white lights, with a dramatic lighting ceremony on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The event gets the holiday season started in style with special music performances, a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and the unveiling of the resort’s annual massive gingerbread display, which stays up through the New Year. This year’s creation will be a return to the classic gingerbread house form, but this won’t be just any gingerbread house, standing at an impressive 10 feet tall and more than 12 feet wide.
Throughout the season, there will be gingerbread decorating classes for kids, special holiday dining menus in all outlets, Wassail Tea service, culinary and beverage demonstrations, Breakfasts with Santa, and other moments of cheer. *Please note that programming is only available for overnight hotel guests. *
And on Saturday and Sunday for the first three weekends in December, The Broadmoor Manitou & Pikes Peak Cog Railway will have hot chocolate and cookies when the trains return to the depot from the top of Pikes Peak, as well as photo opportunities with Santa.
