Revel in the beauty of Spain through John Sargent Singer’s paintings at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco CA.

Meditate, grieve, and reflect on the violence against Black people in Kehinde Wiley’s work. Step inside Ansel Adams’ expansive landscapes of the American West.

This season brings Kehinde Wiley’s new monumental body of work An Archaeology of Silence to the de Young museum for its US debut; puts Ansel Adams’ indelible photographs in dialogue with those of 23 contemporary artists who draw on his legacy of art and environmental activism; and plumbs the rich influence of Spanish culture on American painter John Singer Sargent. These exhibitions are presented with a rich array of programming and offer a little something for everyone.
