International Father’s Day is on Sunday June 20, 2021. People in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, India, and Pakistan celebrate fatherhood every year on the third Sunday of June.
Sonora Smart Dodd, the daughter of an American Civil War veteran, was responsible for the founding of Father’s Day in the early 1900’s. By the mid-1980s, the Father’s Day Council declared Father’s Day as a second Christmas making it a gift-giving occasion.
