April is Jazz Appreciation Month. The National Museum of American History in Washington, DC will host virtual events throughout the month to celebrate the 20th anniversary of JAM.
This year they will recognize contributions of women in jazz. A highlight will be a tribute to the historical legacy of pianist, singer, songwriter, storyteller, and civil rights activist Nina Simone.
JAM exists to stimulate and encourage people of all ages to participate in jazz. More information is here.
