The Upending 1620: Where Do We Begin? Exhibit will open on August 6, 2021 at the National Museum of American History. It examines the early encounters between Wampanoag peoples and English colonists.

Visitors can explore the evidence that upends the myths about the initial meetings and highlights the Wampanoag’s perspective. The exhibit also shows the origins and evolution of Thanksgiving.

Objects on display include fragments of Plymouth Rock and a handmade Narragansett drum. Timed-entry passes are free and available here.
