The Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) offers winter experiences at its Rock Bottom Ranch.
Join ACES for Winter Ranch Experiences at Rock Bottom Ranch, a regenerative agriculture site in Basalt, CO. In Farm Animal Connections, participants can meet the animals at RBR, including sheep, rabbits, and chickens, and learn about what the animals do during the winter. In Winter Vegetable Tastings, participants will explore the structures we use to grow vegetables and incubate seeds – and harvest some veggies to taste. On Egg Collection Fridays, participants will venture into the hoop houses, learn about chickens, and harvest eggs.
