Treat your dog to watermelon during hot August
Rover.com, which offers dog-sitting services nationwide, has come up with a recipe sure to please our rescue mutt and all of her friends and acquaintances everywhere. Hint: it includes watermelon.
In her first summer with us, our chihuahua-terrier mix, Loni, only recently rescued from a horrible hoarding situation, and the mother of five pups (or more who knows), would not try anything but kibble and wet dog food. Now two years into her acclimation with us, several road trips, and lots of love – Loni has discovered she likes watermelon, and yogurt.
So without further adoo, here’s the recipe: It’s not rocket surgery! Enjoy pups!
