Mountain House, the maker of popular portable freeze-dried meals, is giving “Leave no trace”—the mantra of outdoor enthusiasts everywhere—a new meaning. It is challenging backpackers to collect Mountain House pouches for recycling.
As an added incentive, they’ll be competing for a new electricity-generating camp stove and 5 days worth of Mountain House meals (everything you need for your next adventure!) with every shipment of pouches.
Through TerraCycle, an international leader in innovative sustainability solutions, the Mountain House Free Recycling Contest invites consumers to ship their otherwise unrecyclable Mountain House pouches to TerraCycle between September 1st and October 31st, 2024. The top 3 collectors who send in the most pouches will win a Mountain House Expedition Bucket (includes 15 pouches or 5 days’ worth of freeze-dried meals) and a BioLite Electricity Generating CampStove 2+.
More info on how to participate can be found here and the full list of contest rules can be viewed here.
