Pike Place Market in Seattle announces the return of Produce on Pike, its weekly evening farmers market series, running every Wednesday from July 9 through September 10, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Located at the north end of Pike Place between Stewart and Virginia Streets, this midweek event brings the region’s best locally grown produce directly to downtown Seattle.
Perfectly timed for downtown workers, residents, and Market visitors, Produce on Pike is your opportunity to access the freshest fruits, vegetables, and artisanal food vendors goods during evening hours when the Market is often less crowded but just as vibrant.
“All of our farmers grow their products right here in Washington and bring them to Pike Place Market themselves – many of them every single day,” said Rachel Ligtenberg, Executive Director of Pike Place Market PDA. “That makes this some of the freshest, most seasonal produce you can get anywhere. Whether you’re picking up groceries after work or simply enjoying a summer stroll, this series makes it easy to connect with our local farms and enjoy peak-season produce right in the city center.”
Don’t miss live chef demos at each event! Chef Traci of the Market’s Atrium Kitchen will be showcasing recipes featuring that week’s PIKE BOX produce – a popular weekly subscription filled with farm-fresh, Washington-grown fruits and vegetables. Stop by her station to get inspired, sample new flavors, and learn more about how PIKE BOX can bring the best of the Market straight to your home.
Each week, Produce on Pike features a curated selection of seasonal offerings from Pike Place Market’s own farm tables, giving shoppers the chance to taste what’s in season, pick their produce straight from the source, and meet the farmers behind their food. Visitors can discover new flavors at their peak while enjoying weekly chef demos that showcase how to turn Market-fresh ingredients into easy, delicious meals. Whether you’re grocery shopping or just exploring, Produce on Pike is your invitation to make Wednesdays at Pike Place Market a new summer tradition.
Mark your calendars for the grand finale on Wednesday, September 10! Pike Place Market is closing out the season with an extended-hours harvest celebration filled with live music, specialty food vendors, handmade gifts, and chances to win Market prizes. It’s a joyful way to usher in fall and celebrate the farmers, food, and community that make Pike Place Market one of a kind.
