As someone who has only ever traveled with “dumb-wheeled” suitcases, the new iFly X Series (starting at $89) carry-on’s four 360-degree spinner wheels helped my luggage glide effortlessly along the airports’ marbled and carpeted floors. And the suitcase itself is extremely light – much lighter than I am used to. Packing for a Thanksgiving/family Bat Mitzvah weekend, I was able to fit all of my clothes, a full suit, and three pairs of shoes in the bag without any trouble. The beefy and ergonomic zippers on the X Series made the bag easy to open and close, even when my packing job wasn’t the best. The included drawstring bag for dirty clothes was a nice touch too! Although I didn’t make use of it on my first journey with the X Series, the handy USB port built-in to the suitcase could mean you won’t have to be one of those people sitting on the airport floor crouched next to a power outlet, just to pull a last-minute charge before your flight.
