There’s nothing like lighting up the grill and enjoying an outdoor meal with family and friends in the summertime. For me, grilling usually means charcoal in the backyard. Sparking a pile of charcoal can be a chore, though. And although I love my trusty charcoal grill it isn’t always possible to haul it to a picnic at the park or a tailgater at the game.
For ultimate convenience, The Weber Traveler portable gas grill is the perfect grill for families. We love that it is collapsible and portable so we can pop it in the trunk and bring it with us to the campground, park, or game. It also uses the convenient small canisters of propane that you can easily find at stores. It is the optimal grill for those times when you’d rather bring the grill with you, or just skip the headache of lighting charcoal for your weeknight backyard burgers.
I was impressed by how easy it was to assemble the Weber Traveler out of the box. It requires minimal effort and time and you’ll be grilling before you know it. I also appreciated the quality materials and construction that Weber is known for. Design features like the automatic lid lock, and the easy one-handed setup make the Weber Traveler a must-have for grill lovers on the go.
The Weber Traveler is also a surprisingly spacious grill that can fit a hefty number of burgers, sausages, or whatever your go-to grilling grub might be. The temperature range also exceeded my expectations—you can easily turn up the temperature to piping hot when you need it but it can just as easily be used for low and slow recipes like barbecue.
The tool hooks, thermometer and side table also make it a wonderfully user-friendly grill. Plus, when you’re done grilling for the day it can easily be folded and stored in the garage without taking up as much space as other grills.
The Weber Traveler retails at $399.
I still love my charcoal grill, but when it comes to convenience and performance the Weber Traveler cannot be beat.
