ZooMontana has announced two new residents on display this week. George and Willie are nearly one-year-old Grizzly Bears cubs.
They came to the zoo from Eureka, MT after they were orphaned. Unfortunately, they learned to break into one too many cabins in search of food, but their sad situation is now a happy one as they’ve found a safe and loving home here at ZooMontana.
Weighing in at about 190 pounds, George and Willie love to wrestle and run around. In fact, Grizzlies can run up to 35 mph! Their outdoor activity will be sporadic over the next few weeks as they get acclimated to their new home and we work on their recall training. Currently, visitors can view them Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
