Boise’s premier boutique hotel + new steakhouse partner with two of the West’s best rodeos to launch a getaway package perfect for first-timers

The Inn at 500 Capitol, Boise, Idaho’s most elevated boutique hotel, has unveiled a new summer package aimed at unleashing the cowboy/cowgirl within. Designed for first-time rodeo attendees, it includes tickets with VIP and behind-the-scenes access to two of the West’s most iconic rodeos: the Snake River Stampede and Caldwell Night Rodeo

Both rodeos are located in charming agricultural communities within a half hour of downtown Boise and the hotel, allowing guests to stay centered in the city while venturing out for the events. The Snake River Stampede takes place June 16-20 and is known as one of the top ten professional rodeos in the U.S., while the Caldwell Night Rodeo, August 18-22, is respected as one of the largest and most renowned outdoor rodeos in the country. Each offers electric experiences highlighting raw athleticism on display during “roughstock events” like bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, and bull riding, as well as “timed events” including tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, and barrel racing.

Hemlock, Inn at 500’s buzzy steakhouse that opened in 2025, rounds out the experience with a special Cowboy Cut Pairing featuring Idaho’s venerable Snake River Farms GOLD Grade American Wagyu in honor of Idaho’s cattle legacy. (There are more than 2.5 million head of cattle in Idaho – outnumbering people.) The restaurant has become a local favorite for unexpected and larger-than-life items like a roving tableside baked potato cart with Idaho’s biggest spuds and toppings like caviar, alongside premium meats + fresh Northwest produce.

And no rodeo outing is complete without the right outfit. Boise’s Reverent Hats, just blocks from the Inn at 500, offers custom-made cowboy hats along with a variety of Western-themed t-shirts and accessories, while neighboring Western Owl Wear has lassoed a mixture of new and vintage Western wear, perfect for dressing to the occasion.
