The White House Egg Roll is returning to Harry’s hometown, in Independence Missouri, near Kansas City.

Since 1878 American presidents and their families have commemorated Easter by hosting an egg roll on the South Lawn of the White House.

This year the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum will bring the tradition back to the heartland at Harry’s Hop ‘n Hunt.   On Saturday, March 30 there will be a morning of family fun, including a White House Egg Roll race, egg hunts, story times, bounce house and more. The event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine.

All are welcome to this free day of family fun at the Truman Library, co-presented with the Truman Library Institute, City of Independence, and the Independence Square Association.   The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
