Spring is an ideal time to visit resorts throughout Colorado Ski Country USA: the weather is mild, the days are longer, the powder is plentiful, and the activities are abundant. March and April are Colorado’s snowiest months, which means you’re bound to have great skiing conditions no matter when your spring break lands. And resorts roll out the red carpet for spring with elevated events, adventurous activities, and delicious mountain munchies: three great reasons to spring break in Colorado Ski Country USA.

If you’re headed to Snowmass (and 21+), check out the March 17 Ullrhof Games. Returning for its fifth year to Snowmass’s Ullrhof Restaurant and bigger and better than ever, the Games pit teams of beer-drinking titans against each other in beer pong, speed quarters, corn hole, and stump, for prizes and pride. The event includes a deck party, beer and food specials, a DJ, and prize giveaways.

At Steamboat’s Howelsen Hill, you can add the slopes to your lunch menu while you enjoy crowd-free groomers, miles of Nordic trails, pristine midday powder, front-row parking, and zero lift lines. The Lunch Laps program happens weekdays 11:00 am–1:00 pm. Lunchtime lappers can grab a bite at The Outrun Snack Bar and stack up the laps on their lunch hour.

At Purgatory, the Mountain Coaster is open all week long for spring break, March 9– March 17 (conditions permitting). Gather your friends and family for an unforgettable ride through the mountains.
