June is Pride Month, and Breckenridge CO celebrates its local LGBTQ+ community.

Breckenridge will host its second annual 10 Mile Pride event June 13-15, 2024 celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, allies, family and friends. Ten Mile Pride is a beacon of education and inspiration, illuminating the path toward acceptance, understanding and respect for all.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Beginning Thursday, June 13, 10 Mile Pride kicks off with a focus on education and empowerment during a Fireside Chat at RMU. Voices from the LGBTQ+ community will share their stories, insights and wisdom, and featured guests will include Arielle Gold, an Olympic bronze medalist and 5-time X Games medalist, alpinist Hannah Hoetmer of The North Face Athlete Development Program and Michael Miscisin from One Colorado.

On Friday, June 14, Megan Geckler opens her exhibition, “Tunnel Vision” at Breck Create’s Old Masonic Hall. Geckler has previously honored the LGBTQ+ community with her commission for the Human Rights Campaign headquarters in Washington D.C. and will have her colorful, large-scale installation on display in Breckenridge for the summer.

Saturday, June 15 is all about celebrating together at the Community Gathering on the Riverwalk Lawn. The day kicks off with free body painting and Align with Pride Yoga. Then, the party gets going with tunes by DJ Love, a performance by emcee drag queen Jessica L’Whor and entertainment by the Salida Circus drag queens and drag stilt walkers Lulu Krystals and Krys’taaal.
